RANA & FRANCO – TORONTO WEDDING

Often chaos and stress usually wind up overshadowing what should be important parts of the day. But, when I arrived at the bride’s house to get some prep. shots, I was pleasantly surprised at how calm and serene everyone was.

I always feel so honoured when given the responsibility of capturing and immortalizing these precious moments, and this was no exception. Rana and Franco were such a nice couple to work with – it really did make my job easy and enjoyable.

I hope you enjoy a few of my favourite images from their beautiful Toronto wedding. A special thanks to Kelvin for shooting with me and to the staff at Paramount Conference and Event Venue.

Amazing wedding dress

This is one of my all-time favorites. I love finding interesting and unique ways of showcasing wedding gowns and important wedding details. This image has an ethereal quality to it that I love.

Beautiful reflection of the bride - Toronto Wedding Photography

This is what it is all about for me. There is nothing like natural light to create beautiful imagery, and Rana made a beautiful bride ... it looks like those days modeling for Danier Leather really paid off!!

Bouttenier - groom detail images

I love this detail shot of the groom's boutonniere. The fall-off on those primes are so buttery...I love it!! (camera jargon)

Incredible candid moment...most important shot

In terms of photojournalism, this is my best shot to date. A bride walking up the aisle with her Dad/loved one is arguably one of the most important shots to have. I love the peaceful and subtle emotion that comes through in this image.

Thank you Rana & Franco for a great time at your wedding. I look forward to capturing other milestones of your lives together.

ANA RITA & DENNIS – DESTINATION WEDDING – BAHAMAS

Trying to catch up on my blogging…I am 4 or 5 posts behind…bear with me.

This destination wedding in sunny Bahamas was awesome! We had a few weather scares throughout the week and had to change ceremony locations a few times. As the stormy weather loomed on the day of the wedding, Ana and Dennis decided to forego their original plans of a beach side ceremony on Paradise Island for an indoor alternative. As we were boarding the bus to the ceremony venue, the weather took a turn for the better and the wedding planner re-routed us to a gorgeous outdoor venue overlooking the beach just minutes from our Riu Paradise Resort. Here are some of my favorites from this beautiful wedding. I had an amazing time with these two families and I look forward to documenting future milestones for them!

How to quit your day job…Awaken your senses!

I have always believed the only way to be happy and to succeed is to chase the thing you are most passionate about. You have to immerse yourself in your craft and surround yourself with people who you respect and who inspire you.

Over the weekend, I attended a workshop that changed my life and will change the path of my business. At the Gladstone hotel, the AWAKEN workshop was born, the brainchild of a handful of Toronto’s top Wedding Photographers. This two-day event showcased 8 amazing speakers and brought together 150 of Ontario’s best photographers in one room to learn, share, and inspire each other.

If you are starting your photography business and are looking for practical information on how to make it a successful endeavour, or if you are already successful and want to breathe new inspiration and creativity into your work, the AWAKEN workshop is for you. Check it out, sign up for the next one and get ready to quit your day job!

Preeya & Raj’s Berkeley Church Engagement Photography

It almost seemed as though this engagement shoot was never going to take place. Preeya and Raj were continuously derailed by uncompromising weather, and after many attempts to get together, they decided not to allow mother nature to rear its ugly head again. So, we took the shoot indoors, and spent an afternoon at the Berkeley church. In my opinion, it is one of the best wedding venues in the city, offering a multitude of photographic options. And, combined with a photographic pair like them, it was hard not to feel inspired.

Here are some of my favorites from their E-shoot. Feel free to leave your comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog.

Ana Rita & Dennis – Bahamas Engagement Shoot

Here we are in sunny Bahamas, again!

Surrounded by their amazing families and friends, I was honored to capture Ana and Dennis’ wedding events last week on Paradise Island. These two were an incredible couple to work with, and I would like to thank them for taking me away from the cold Toronto weather to the warmth of the Caribbean!

Here are a few pictures from their E-shoot, a couple of days before tying the knot. They don’t look nervous at all, do they?
